In flight safety with a twist

Just back from a trip across the country, so pardon my preoccupation with airplane themes, but this Richard Simmons Air Safety video highlighted on Mashable really spoke to me.
Even the most responsible and earnest traveler tends to tune out the “here’s how to buckle your safety belt” instructions at the start of every flight. I mean, unless you’re a total newbie you know that you’re supposed to put the oxygen mask on your own face before slapping one over the mouth of your child, right?
That’s why I give a hearty cheer at the creative ingenuity of Air New Zealand for allowing a less-staid approach to the whole “upright and locked” routine.
