Saturday, in the upper left of the country, we had a brief reprieve from winter. One day when the heaviest winter overwear stayed in the closet in favor of hoodies and, in the case of my husband, bike shorts! Although spring isn’t really here yet, I was definitely moved to check my sandal inventory. And, much to the delight of our new clients, I’m guessing that I wasn’t alone.

Jays Wide Shoes approached us at the end of January. They were looking to upgrade the look and functionality of their website, as well as embark on a more aggressive e-marketing and social media plan. The caveat? All needed to be ready to go March 1, when their spring line catalogs hit the mailboxes.

Typically, we like more lead time to strategize a successful integrated campaign, but since we were able to see the value in a paired-down refresh, and, oh my god, the shoes Jays carries are so fabulous, we took it on.

Last week we launched the refreshed home page (a new look in line with their spring catalog, emphasizing their top brands and bringing a spring palette to their look), and sent out an e-mail announcement linking to their new line and new social media interfaces. We were thrilled to note that the opens and click-throughs on the e-mail were more than twice the industry average. Go Jays!

The “spring-like” day on Saturday hopefully contributed to some robust sales as well. Who can resist these gorgeous Danskos on a pleasant spring day?
