MySpaceFaceBook

Will it be MyFace? SpaceFace? SpaceBook? Hardly.

Just when I thought it was safe to get back to work I woke up to the distraction du jour from arch rivals FaceBook and MySpace. The two companies are making a big announcement today at noon PT. So will it be MyFace? SpaceFace? SpaceBook? Hardly. The rumor mill’s best guess is that it’s all about MySpace surrendering to FaceBook by using FaceBook Connect and using FB to promote the newly refurbished MySpace network. But hey, this is the same rumor mill that predicted that Apple was announcing iTunes in the Cloud this week. Whatever. Looks like MySpace has a new logo. MyGiantUnderscore? WTF?  I’ll be following the tweets and blogs until lunchtime, when the FB/MS announcement is scheduled to take place.
